Ruddy awful

Rudd's election night speech was singularly disappointing and I have continued to be disappointed by his media conferences in the past two days. He proudly claims that he writes all his own speeches...but he's no Aaron Sorkin. Hopefully the ministerial office's budget will stretch a bit further than that of Opposition Leader and they can get him a professional speechwriter. As bad as Rudd's speeches are, I was even more appalled earlier this evening at the number of bad puns that Sandra Sully managed to squeeze into her late night update on the Prime Minister Elect. Ruddslide and Ruddbath were the two which stuck in my mind, though they may not have been the worst ones.
